On January 24, 2013, Gov. Pat Quinn signed a new law, Erin’s Law, into effect for all Illinois schools. Erin’s Law requires schools to provide age-appropriate sexual abuse prevention education for all students, Pre-K - 12, on an annual basis. In accordance with the state and federal law, all students in Pre-K through 12th grade will receive age-appropriate training from the District. The sessions have been broken down by PreK-3rd Grade, 4th-8th Grade, and 9th-12th Grade, and are all around 30-45 minutes.
