Connecting Chicago was founded in March 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 crisis in order to offer free tutoring services to students across the city. They have impacted over 1000 Chicagoans and have recently registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
School Reopening Guidance for Parents Here are updates regarding CPS hoping to reopen schools in January and February. Here is the English and Spanish presentation. Reopening school is an issue of equity. Equity is a moral imperative, and the district is focused on equitably responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reason For Absence Note The first day an absent student returns to school, the parent/guardian must provide the school with a signed “Reason for Absence Note” that identifies the reason and date for each student absence.
